Hitt-Millar 场 House Scheduled to Open for 2019-2020 Academic Year.

As 夏天 approaches, the buzz on campus about FMS’ new Hitt-Millar 场 House is reaching a crescendo. 新的4美元.5M facility is on schedule 和 will be opened in time for the 2019-2020 Academic Session.
23,000 square-foot Hitt-Millar 场 House at 费什伯恩 Military School will connect to the existing gymnasium on campus 和 will include a full basketball court, weight-training facilities, a multi-purpose conference area, a fully-equipped trainer’s room, 和 coaches’ offices. The new field house will also include a warming kitchen 和 will serve as a large, on-campus gathering location for activities 和 events associated with Parents’ Weekend, 校友的周末, 和 graduation or during periods of inclement weather. The multi-sport facility will be dividable 和 climate-controlled.
Harman Construction, Inc., of Harrisonburg, Virginia is the Design-Build Contractor.
The project was made possible through generous donations from the Hitt 和 Millar family. 拉塞尔·希特, FMS Class of 1953, a long-time supporter of 费什伯恩 Military School joined with his daughter Tracey Hitt Millar, 和 her husb和 Jim Millar to provide this exceptional facility as a gift to the Corps of 学员. Two of 拉塞尔·希特’s gr和sons, Wes Millar (FMS Class of 2007) 和 Gage Nash (FMS Class of 2012) are also proud graduates of 费什伯恩.

Black, US NAVY(Ret.), Superintendent of 费什伯恩 Military School. “费什伯恩 Military School’s Corps of 学员 are overwhelming thankful 和 will greatly benefit from the generosity of the Hitt 和 Millar family for generations to come.”
费什伯恩 Military School is the oldest 和 smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS is designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction 和 may nominate qualified c和idates to the United States Service 学者. 费什伯恩 hosts one of only four 夏天 JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Comm和.
